Proggy Mat on the Line

A proggy mat on the washing line of the backyard of a Pit Village home, at Beamish Museum's 'Dig for Victory' event. This was Francis Street and in their original setting were back to back with with another colliery row in which lived a coal mining ancestor of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
