The Chapel is part of the mid-18th century west wing of the House and was originally intended to be a dining room. In the 1870s it was radically altered with the floor being lowered and the entrance changed. It was redecorated in the pre-Raphaelite style and boasts impressive William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones designs.
