Armillary Sphere Memorial

Sundial erected in 2005 by the Friends of Bowes Museum in memory of the Queen Mother who was their patron. It was made by David Harber. It is inscribed "hora transit manet amicitia", which translates as "the hour passeth, friendship endureth."
