Good Old-Fashioned Paper Decorations, Beamish Christmas Evening

A Christmas tree decorated with old-fashioned paper decorations in Leasingthorne Colliery Welfare Hall and Community Centre at Beamish Open Air Museum. The centre was originally paid for from donations by the Leasingthorne Colliery Miners and was opened in 1957 in Leeholme. The replica at Beamish is used by community groups and helps to tell the story of life in the 50s.
