Lions Gate Bridge

The Lions Gate Bridge, officially known as the First Narrows Bridge, opened in 1938 and stands as one of the most iconic engineering landmarks in Vancouver, British Columbia. Spanning 1,823 metres across the Burrard Inlet, it links downtown Vancouver (via Stanley Park) to the North Shore municipalities. The bridge is named after The Lions, a pair of prominent mountain peaks in the North Shore range that face northbound commuters.
